Kit is heading to San Antonio for #CEC2024

By Trish Geraghty

We’re counting down the days until the much-awaited Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) conference March 13-16, 2024, and let me tell you, the excitement is palpable! Who is going?

For those who may not know, the CEC conference is like Disneyland for educators, therapists, researchers, and advocates in the field of special education. It’s where minds meet, ideas collide, and innovation sparks – and we are in for a treat this year!

First off, can we just take a moment to appreciate the sheer diversity of sessions lined up? Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just dipping your toes into the world of special education, there’s something for everyone. From workshops on inclusive classroom practices to seminars on AI, the lineup is full of innovation.

And let’s talk about the keynote speakers, shall we? Brace yourselves for some serious inspiration! We’re talking about trailblazers who have dedicated their lives to championing the rights and abilities of exceptional individuals. Curtis Hill will be opening the conference, and there will also be a keynote panel session on mental health. Their stories will leave you in awe and reignite your passion for making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

But wait, there’s more! One of the highlights of this year’s conference is the exhibition hall, where innovation takes center stage (insert shameless plug for Kit, booth 443). Kit is a workflow management app designed to simplify the workday for (IEP) teams. The software provides an innovative guided approach to information sharing, data management, planning, assessments, and more. Come see us at booth 443 to get your passport stamped, score some swag, and enter a giveaway – we would love to meet you! Also – don’t forget to pick up your Kit sticker at the sticker bar.

Networking opportunities are another key bonus of attending the CEC conference in person. Trust me when I say that rubbing elbows with fellow educators and experts in the field is worth the price of admission alone. Whether you’re exchanging ideas over coffee or brainstorming solutions to common challenges, the connections you make at the CEC conference can last a lifetime.

Above all – #CEC2024 is going to be FUN! Because, let’s face it, learning should be engaging and enjoyable. So, get ready to let your hair down at the social events, unwind with some live entertainment, and maybe even bust a move on the dance floor. After all, celebrating our collective achievements is what it’s all about!

So, there you have it, work besties. The countdown to the CEC conference is officially on, and we couldn’t be more excited. Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a seasoned conference veteran, get ready for an unforgettable experience that will leave you inspired, empowered, and ready to take on the world of special education. See you there!
